Xbox Series X has a wide range of backward compatible games, while the PS5 has slightly less games supporting backward compatiblity. Also the backward compatible games are faster on Xbox Series X than the PS5. It might be due to bottlenecking of PS5.
Both PS5 and Xbox Series X are capable of playing game at 4k/120 fps and 8k/60 fps
And pretty much both of them get our job done.We can see that in some games the Xbox Series X has a slightly better depth of field than PS5 but not a major difference. Also,in some games when zoomed into resolution the Xbox Series X shows slightly more detailes.
Visuals and loading time:
The graphics and visuals are almost similar on both the consoles and both of them do a pretty good job. When we come to loading time they also differ 2s-3s depending on the game on the consoles, which does not seems to be a major issue.
The controller is the game changer, here,The PS5 has improved the dual sense controller alot with resistive vibrations. You can feel various surfaces in the game through the vibrations. Even the gun recoil seems so realistic in PS5 controller and varies with changing gun and this makes the Xbox Series X controller feel dull and usual.
It seems that some features are missing in PS5 that are available in Xbox Series X which should be added to it to make gaming more fun as the quick resume feature in Xbox Series X. Also,PS5 does not support Dolby Atmos and DTS.The Smart Delivery in Xbox makes it easy to jump between consoles.
When you place of this consoles side by side you can see a major difference in size,The PS5 is very large in size compared to the Xbox Series X but The PS5 comes with a modern design which doesn't make it feel akward on the table,it's just blends in the surrounding. The Xbox Series X comes in a box striction with a green light on the top.
Both the consoles are good at there place and deliver amazing performance and quality. But, it finally depends on your personal opinion on which one you want to pick.
